Leelanau County Traditional Cultural Resources Survey Collection

The Leelanau County Traditional Cultural Resources Survey, a 2001 collaborative project of the Leelanau Historical Museum and the Michigan Traditional Arts Program/Michigan State University Museum, worked with community members to document the expressive traditions of the diverse cultures of the county, including events, artisans, gatherings, and occupations. The first phase of the project was a general survey and built upon previous research done by staff members at both museums. Collections include field notes, images, recorded interviews, and supplemental research materials and ephemera.
